bE inspired! Shaping Our City Tomorrow Competition 2024/25

Co-organised by Junior Achievement (JA) Hong Kong and Arup, the bE inspired! Program has been enhanced with the launch of the Shaping Our City Tomorrow Competition. This integrated innovation program is designed for Form 2 to 5 students and includes comprehensive workshops and outings led by Arup engineer volunteers, Engineering Education & Career Day for Parents, Video Production Workshop, mentorship and public showcase.

Shaping Our City Tomorrow Competition aims to inspire secondary students to unleash their creativity for our sustainable future and nurture their interest in engineering studies and careers.

Students will work in teams of 2 to 4 to create their own innovative solutions in the areas of Green Buildings, Green Transport, or Green Energy, presenting their ideas through a prototype and a 1-minute video.

Aims

Through this Shaping Our City Tomorrow Competition, students will:

  • Understand different carbon reduction strategies to strive for carbon neutrality
  • Design an innovative green solution to benefit the community
  • Unleash their creativity, teamwork, presentation, and digital skills essential for their future
